Tristyly — Plants that are tristylous have three different types of flowers, each type on a different plant. The flower types are:
  • style short, stamens mid and long
  • style mid, stamens short and long
  • style long, stamens short and mid

This example is Lythrum salicaria, purple loosestrife.
