Cucurbitaceae

3-Citrullus plant

[FMP-field: image]

Most members of the Cucurbitaceae are herbaceous vines with tendrils. The leaves are often palmately lobed or divided. The plants have bitter tasting triterpenoid cucurbitacin chemical compounds. The flowers are imperfect and the plants monoecious. This is Citrullus vulgaris, watermelon.
