Fabaceae

7-Bipinnately compound leaves

[FMP-field: image]

The leaves of Albizia julibrissin (mimosa tree) are bipinnately compound, as in many Mimosoideae. This species is native to eastern Asia and is commonly cultivated in southern Illinois and other areas with climates warmer than Champaign. While very attractive, this species also invades natural habitats and replaces native species.
