Floral Formulas

The flowers of wild ginger (Asarum canadense) are perfect but incomplete--petals are lacking and only sepals are present (the flowers are uniseriate).

There are 3 brownish sepals, no petals, 12 stamens, and 6 connate carpels. The ovary is inferior.

The flowers are actinomorphic.
