The samaras of Liriodendron tulipifera (tulip tree or tulip poplar) are clustered together into a cone-like structure. This whole unit comes from one flower, and each samara will separate from it and sail away on the wind. These samaras contain a single seed.
As you will see later, this whole structure is an aggregate fruit.
Liriodendron tulipifera belongs to the Magnoliaceae (Magnolia family).
