Hamamelidaceae

The Hamamelidaceae includes about 23 – 30 genera and 80 – 120 species. Note that this family occurs in three widely separated areas: (1) eastern North America south through Central Mexico to northern South America; (2) the Middle East and eastern/southern Africa; and eastern Asia.
