13-Polygonatum flowers

[FMP-field: image]

The flowers of Polygonatum commutatum, Solomon's seal, are tubular and the sepals and petals are fused together. In the longitudinal section shown on the right, notice that the stamens are adnate to the tube formed by the sepals and petals; also note the superior ovary and axile placentation.
