Ranunculaceae

17-Ranunculus flower

[FMP-field: image]

A close-up of a Ranunculus flower. The showy parts are petals; at the base of each petal is a small nectary. There are numerous stamens, and in the center of the flower are many free carpels (an apocarpous gynoecium).
