Ranunculaceae

5-Yellow flowers

[FMP-field: image]

The flowers of Ranunculaceae vary from actinomorphic to zygomorphic and have a wide range of colors, all in response to different types of pollinators. The basic flower in the family, however, is actinomorphic, and many are bright yellow. Eranthis hyemalis (winter aconite) occurs in alkaline, wet habitats and has flowers about the size of a quarter.
