During the pandemic, many of us are looking for fun, safe activities. An outdoor scavenger hunt for plant species in your area is a great way to safely learn about plants. These images were taken in Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, IL in September. As we encounter colder weather, it is a great time to see prairie plants transition to their winter state, and familiar flowers may look very different. This can make identifying your favorite species even more challenging.
