41-Dangerous leaves

[FMP-field: image]

Leaves can be modified into a dangerous "trap" for unwary insects. This is the Venus flytrap (Dioneae muscipula). The "trap" is a modified leaf that produces nectar to attract the insects. It bears sensitive hairs, which control the closure of the trap; it also contains digestive glands on the inner surface of the trap.
