The sundews (Drosera sp. ) are other carnivorous plants in which leaves are highly modified into a trap. Here the upper surface of the leaves are covered with gland-tipped hairs that produce a sticky liquid. This liquid attracts and catches insects. When an insect is caught, the hairs move to completely surround the insect, and other hairs then secrete digestive enzymes.
