8-Herbaceous habit

An herb is a vascular plant with little or no above-ground perennial woody tissue. It dies back to ground at the end of each growing season (in temperate regions). Herbs can be annual, biennial, or perennial.

Here is a photo of Echinacea pallida, an herbaceous plant found in the prairie. Prairies mostly have herbaceous plants.
