| The Violaceae is a monophyletic family with about 22 genera and 830 to 950 species. They are found nearly worldwide. In temperate regions, the plants are ususally herbaceous, while in the tropics most members of this family are trees or shrubs. In PB260, we will only examine the genus Viola. |
