Stanley Friedman Im still around to talk to and harass the various and sundry members of our
department, I am constantly reminded of how lucky we are to have such a strong faculty
with such a broad and significant range of interests in biology. I am, however,
saddened by the great loss over the past 2 years of three of those who formed the stable
base around which our "new" faculty was able to be built: Bill Horsfall, Ellis
MacLeod, and Bob Metcalf. I miss them all, even as I write their names. Life
goes on, so does the department, and so my hopes for its bright future. My family and I
are all well and look forward to seeing any of you who return to these parts for whatever
reason. My best to you all. |
