Gilbert Waldbauer I retired from the University in May 1995, but I did not give up the ghost. I
have been writing books that popularize biology, books that are scientifically sound and
informative but are readily accessible to the general reader because I avoid the use of
technical terms. Insects Through the Seasons was published by Harvard University
Press in 1996, The Handy Bug Answer Book by Visible Ink Press in 1998, and the Birders
Bug Book by Harvard later in 1998. I dedicated the latter book to my wife and I am
thankful that she saw an advance copy before her death in August 1998. Harvard has
accepted my latest book, which is still in manuscript and being edited, and I have already
started on another book, which will be my fifth. |
