James Sternburg After
34 years of teaching and research, I retired in 1988, but since then have occasionally
helped with the lecture of ENT 301. I also continue to serve on prelim committees. To keep
up with advances in entomology, I regularly attend departmental seminars. My interest in
insect photography continues, and with these photographs I present talks to local nature
centers and conservation groups.
For the past 8 years, I have helped in a survey of the
insects species present in original and adjacent restored prairie areas in northern
Illinois. Other activities include gardening, especially wildflower and water gardening. I
also have a continuing interest in spawning and keeping both tropical and native fishes,
and studying their behavior. |
